If I post a recipe, the visits are many more than if I talk about Christ and the Orthodox Church. Jesus had something to say about that: John 6:26, KJV: “Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.”
I get it… times are tough. Times were tough in Jesus’ day and times will always be tough for someone. There is more to life than recipes. things that are important for us to become refined enough to live in the presence of God for all eternity.

Today’s commemorated feasts and saints
St. Epiphanius, Bishop of Cyprus (403). St. Germanus (Herman), Patriarch of Constantinople (740). Glorification of Hieromartyr Germogén (Hermogenes), Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia (1913). Ven. Dionisii, Archimandrite of St. Sergius’ Monastery (1633). St. Sabinus, Archbishop of Cyprus, and St. Polybius, Bishop in Cyprus (5th c.). Martyr John of Vlachia (Romania—1662).
I have had no response from anyone to let me know if they are interested in the study of Elder Thaddeus. In today’s world of weird and unnatural teachings being fobbed off as, ‘Christian’ I think you would truly benefit from reading about the life of this extraordinary man.
I will begin the study this weekend. If you have your book, do your best to read through the story of his life. It is several pages. It’s a lot but don’t panic if you can’t get through it. Catch up as you can. the important thing is to try your best.
Don’t lose yourself, or give yourself away, to the things of this world. they are so very fleeting!
