Art practice

Practicing watercolor drills.

Watercolor, and watercolor pencils are, in my opinion, much more difficult to learn than oil paints.

When you oil paint, unless you add a large amount of ‘medium to your paint, it pretty much stays where you put it. You can paint over it and it will no ‘reactivate’ and run all over your canvas/paper.

An oil painting I created a loooong time ago. A tiny elephant infestation caught playing in a small pumpkin.

Victorian roses I painted.

I have not been able to do as much art as I would like. It is something I am working on getting back into.

I think hobbies are important. We must do things just for us. Especially if we are prone to extending ourselves to other people.

What do you do to recharge your batteries? What are some of your creative outlets?

  1. I love to write and read. It often takes away from getting school work done, but I have to read and write a certain amount every day.
