This was in my email inbox this morning…
Christ is Risen!
Thanks to the diligent and thorough work of a national Roman Catholic legal team, we are blessed to attend liturgies once again!
However, we will still need to uphold all local/state/national health guidelines for social distancing and cleaning.
Our temple space limits us to 60 persons per any one liturgy.
For the present time, we will continue to offer the Divine Liturgy on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 8am (Sundays inclusive).
If you plan to attend a liturgy, please email me which day, so I can count ahead of time the number of people planning to attend. I have several of you who have indicated attendance on a specific day already. Based on present Eucharistic participation, if we continue with those numbers we will do well.
Catechumens are welcome to sign up to attend.
– It is important that we honor health mandates and guidelines (regardless of any opinion of them) so that we do not put at risk this present opportunity. An inadvertent virus outbreak traced back to liturgy attendance would place us back to square one – completely shut down (“quarantined”) for a period of time. It is NOT the State that is impinging upon us… but rather our Archbishop to whom we are answering. If you wish to see an impressively pious example of this from the country of Georgia:
Thank you to the Roman Catholic Church legal team for your hard work at making this possible!
Christ has risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!
