  1. Hi Melissa !
Thanks for sharing this. I pray the rosary too.
The picture you posted is one of my favourites. It was on the Christmas Cards I sent last year. 😊

Thank you. I’m trying to find better instruction on how to pray the rosary. The info I have says to say thus and such prayer, such as- say the “Glory Be”. Well… is that; glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy spirit? Or is it a different prayer. I’m looking for videos on Youtube but I welcome advice and instruction.

      1. Hi Melissa !
It was nice to hear the obvious delight in your voice when you saw the rosary beads.
Yes, the “Glory be” is glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and The Holy Spirit…
There are several good instructional videos on how to pray the rosary on YouTube.
I always have my rosary beads with me.
I carry them in my purse when I go out too.
The beautiful tender picture you posted is called “Innocence”, by the painter
        William-Adolphe Bougereau.
There is another meditative prayer that can be prayed using the same rosary beads. It is called : “The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy”. I pray this also, every day, at 3:00 p.m. , the hour of the Divine Mercy.
I hope that you will enjoy praying the rosary. I will pray for you.
I will also check out that book you recommended.
God bless you. 😊 Will you have your rosary beads blessed by a priest ?

I have contacted the company who made them to see if they have already been blessed. If not I will have them blessed.

I just heard back form the company. The rosary is not blessed so as not to appear making money off of blessed objects. I emailed my parish priest to see if he would be ok with blessing it. I might also take in my salt to be blessed. Not really an Orthodox Christian thing (blessed salt) but I do think it is important especially after what I’ve seen from my days as a Protestant.
