Beets are one of those foods that people either love or they hate. I think root vegetables (at least those that are not potatoes) are high under utilized in American cooking these days.
I was at the clinic yesterday having my colonic (and a massage!). The woman who does my colonics was eating a container of dehydrated beets she had picked up from the local health food store. They tasted better than the bagged root veggie chips from Terra.
The chips my technician was eating did have some sugar on them which is a bit of a draw back for me. Also, there was dehydrated and sugared cantaloupe slices. That was kind of an odd flavor. If you decide to make these chips, ditch the canola oil. It is in no way good for anyone to consume and I do not understand why people are still using it. Use olive oil, coconut oil or avocado oil.
